Preserving the Past

At Miles McNeal & Powell, our goals include building on the past while looking toward the future, tackling complex challenges, and building value in our communities.  With our visionary leadership, we desire to be a cornerstone of economic development and vitality.  We preserve the past through diverse redevelopment, which includes deploying adaptive reuse and land reuse strategies for healthier, more vibrant, and economically successful communities. 

Our Vision

At Miles McNeal & Powell, we practice empathic listening with the communities we serve, which is why we design WITH and FOR the community.  We enhance the present by cleaning up and reinvesting in unused properties that utilize existing infrastructure, facilitate job growth, increase local tax bases, take development pressures off of undeveloped and unused buildings and land, and both improve and protect the environment.* 

Our firm is all about treating our community with respect and creating channels for community enrichment.  This is why we are passionate and purpose-driven to create unprecedented action plans that utilize an urban innovation ecosystem to enrich our communities as well as serve the people who live in them.

At Miles McNeal & Powell, we intentionally pursue what others think is impossible.  We envision the future by honing in on innovative and sustainable solutions.  Our think-tank of thought leaders relentlessly search for the best and brightest ideas and develop a sound basis for assessing, implementing, and executing those ideas into action to spark the economy.

We look to the future with enthusiasm for the projects we will do, the partners we will work with, and the people we will serve along the way.  Our goals include:  economic vitality, urban innovation, community regeneration, undertaking complex/sustainable projects, and cultivating multicultural experiences.

At Miles McNeal & Powell, we carryout our activism through community shareholding and impact investors.  This is why our hard work and commitment are undeterred by unusual or complex situations and are adept at bringing together the right thought leaders and individuals to identify and execute optimal solutions.  We will continually advance the vision of our communities through our culture and values.
